Analysis Tool

Analysis tool is also available shortly and 1 license is Free with the Display purchase. Analysis tool has unique features:

  1. Small Size: Currently 22MB. 
  2. Data is shown in your Web browser
  3. Multiple modes are available: Lap, Lapless, Rally, Drag.
  4. Video import and Export with Auto Analyze Notes.
  5. Instead of Time or Distance, we use also GPS location for data analysis. Tool WILL NOT OPEN FILES WITHOUT GPS CHANNELS.
  6. Auto Analyze: Analyzes the data automatically against the Ref lap and creates notes.
  7. Shade: Shows areas where you are performing better than Reference lap
  8. Time Difference: Shows with red where you are loosing time and with green where gaining
  9. Binary Channels: Binary on-Off Channels like Brake are detected automatically and presented with different background color in graph.
  10. Supports Haltech logs also.
  11. You can send your data as HTML and can be viewed with a browser without any additional tools or licenses. (License is required to generate HTML but can be viewed without license)

Installation

  • Extract the ZIP file to USB disk /display_Tools directory
  • Execute the display_LogViewer.exe application
  • At first start, you will be asked if it is ok to install the Auto Start feature to your PC. With it, application will start automatically when the disk is inserted and the last logged log file file be opened.

How to use

  • Insert the disk and application will open automatically with the latest log
  • Press Open button to open any file manually. If H key is pressed when Open pressed, Haltech files can be opened.
  • IMPORTANT: SHIFT key is your friend and used in many places like selecting multiple channels, multiple laps, zoom into specific data area in the graph.
  • When file is opened, all channels are loaded and GPS track will be visible. This is the default view:

View is divided into several sections:

  • Violet: GPS track. This can be zoomed with a mouse to specific reqion.
  • Orange: Data graph. Zooming is available by selecting the area and pressing SHIFT key. Y axis can be changed with scrolling the mouse on top of the y-axis. Min/Max: Will turn off and on again when zooming is returned. Multiple channels can be loaded by pressing SHIFT and selecting the channels. Graph area size can be in increased by dragging the mouse over the divider. 
  • Yellow: Available Channels. Again, press SHIFT to select multiple. Note the color range dialog: These are the ranges and colors shown in the track map.
  • Green: Laps. Again, press SHIFT to select multiple at once to Data graph. Reference lap is always Lap 9000.
    • Import Ref lap: Use this to Import a Reference lap.
    • Select the lap you want to export from the list and press Export Reference. You will be asked for a file name.

Auto Analyze 

This is a powerful feature to analyze your laps against Reference lap quickly.

  • Make sure you have Reference lap loaded, Lap 9000.
  • Select the Lap you want to Auto Analyze against.
  • Press Auto Analyze against Ref Lap button.
  • Notes will be available like this:

Press the note you want and the view will change automatically, data graph will show the channels and Track map will zoom into the region automatically.

Manual notes can be added by double clicking the track point where you want to save the note.

Notes can be exported into the Exported video if so required.

Time Diff

Time lost or gained can be easily be seen by pressing the deltaT Diff button. View will automatically change to Distance.

 

Here we have Throttle channel for the lap and deltaT Diff active. Red areas are where time is lost and Green where gained against the selected laps.

Shade

This is a unique feature to show where channel value is less than the reference lap. Select the channel you want to see, for example Throttle here. So, Enable Shade, then select the lap you want to compare against and then Lap 9000. You will see the data presented like this:

Green area is area where Throttle was higher than in Ref lap. Red are is where Throttle was less than Ref lap. Point is to see quickly the difference, more green->better.

GPS Map

GPS Track map is loaded when MAP BG is pressed.

Binary channels

Binary, On/Off channels are detected automatically from the data. In Data graph, for example Brake status is shown as a different background color.
